Digitization and Digitalization
Using 3D laser scanners, we convert the geometry of rooms or objects into a precise digital record. Our modern 3D scanners also capture 360° photography, providing not only geometric data but also color photo documentation of the surfaces scanned. The combined result is displayed in an application that offers a visual 360° view, with features such as measurement tools, comment adding, and geolocating of attributed elements.
Users can access the 3D point clouds and 360° photos through an interactive viewer on any device (computer, tablet, smartphone, VR glasses, etc.).
In the free “Leica Truview” viewer, users can insert 3D models and interact with them in a virtual, photorealistic environment. This functionality is particularly valuable for project presentations to clients and facilitating communication during the design phase.
Remote Facility Entry, VR, and “Digital Twin”
The Leica Truview application allows remote access to the virtual model of a facility, offering numerous benefits and functionalities for maintenance, training, and security:
- Remote viewing and communication
- Reduced travel costs and carbon footprint
- Distance training
- Remote diagnostics and maintenance
- Improved operational efficiency
- Faster troubleshooting
- Visualization of 3D models in real-world environments
The application also supports the integration of geolocated metadata, such as equipment descriptions, maintenance logs, reporting, and notes. This builds a comprehensive digital database accessible to authorized users globally. The application functions over both local and online networks.
